Alliance Women Ministries Fall Refocus Retreat September 24 – 26, 2010

Each year, on a weekend in September, Alliance Women from the Northeastern District gather at Delta Lake Bible Conference Center to REFOCUS on the objectives of Alliance Women’s Ministries: Missions, Prayer, Fellowship, Discipleship and Outreach.

In a serene “camp” setting, we are blessed to hear from some of our Alliance International Workers (missionaries) as they share their joys, struggles and needs. We have times of joyful worship and fervent prayer. We learn together in seminars relevant to women’s lives today. We ReFocus on the important role of women in the church to reach out to the lost. We enjoy great food, and gain new appreciation for God’s beautiful creation as we take walks around the camp during free time.

This year, some of us stayed a second night so that we could enjoy more fellowship with the ladies from our church. We were BLESSED to have Elaine Miller speak to our group both Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Elaine, wife of our Northeastern District C&MA Superintendent Dan Miller, is an author and professional speaker. She is a warm and lovely woman of God. She CAN make you cry and make you laugh within 3 minutes! Kudos to both Donna McClain and Bev Schulz (no T) for joining us so that they could get to know some of us better. They sure did! We had a blast!
