How To Know God Personally
The following will help you to know how to receive Christ into your life.
1) Realize that God wants you to have a personal relationship with Him. He created you for this purpose.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16
Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. -John 1 7:3
2) Admit that you are a sinner and confess it to God.
For all have sinned and fail short of the glory of God. -Rom. 3:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal lfe in Christ Jesus our Lord -Rom. 6:23
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purfy us from all unrighteousness. -1 John 1:9
3) Acknowledge that Jesus paid the price for your sins when He died on the cross.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.-Rom. 5:8
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. -Isa. 53:5
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. -Isa. 53:6
4) Believe in the finished work of Christ for you and trust in Him as your savior and Lord.
Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. -John 14:6
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. -John 1.42
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. -Rom. 10:13
If you have never given your life to Him, why not do that right now? Just pray to Him in confession and ask Him to forgive you. Then, thank Him for saving you and giving you eternal life.
