On 3/9/2002, two teams from our church participated in the annual Word of Life Basketball Marathon in Cortland. A total of 16 teens were involved, many from outside the church, in the all day event. Both teams did well and the Junior High team came away with a trophy! Congratulations to the boys from our church who were involved (Nick and Alex Stowe, Jirah Palmer, Nick and Ben Standford, Owen Hathaway, and Bradley Jones). All present heard a very clear message of the gospel and a couple from our teams responded publicly to the invitation.
